Sale-a-Bration is over, but the fun is just starting

I have admittedly been absent throughout Sale-a-Bration. Not saying I didn’t take full advantage of all the amazing swag, but I just haven’t had much time to actually use any of it. Scribbles and doodles just aren’t worthy of a post. Lol. PLUS, we’ve been dealing with sick kids, a sick pup, a sick hubby, AND trying to get our house ready to put on the market. I’m honestly not even sure where March went! So tonight, after a week of stressing over finding a painter, a storage unit, and trying to declutter my home, I decided that I needed some stamping time. It was time to put those Occasions and Sale-a-Bration items to use! I’ve been eyeing the Carousel Birthday set ever since I saw it in the catty. Couldn’t bring myself to buy it, because I just couldn’t figure out when I’d use it. After seeing so many beautiful projects made with that set, though, I had to have it. Here is my take on this amazingly versatile set:

I used So Saffron for the base, the Cupcakes and Carousels DSP for layer one, and Whisper White for the top layer. I stamped the tents in stamped off So Saffron. The carousel was done in stamped off Bermuda Bay, and the carousel horse was stamped in archival basic black. He was then “painted” with Wink of Stella pen and So Saffron, Bermuda Bay, and Calypso Coral. I left the sentiment off because I’m using this for a swap. I’d like the recipient to be able to use it for the occasion of her choice, so I’ve purposely left it blank.

If you like what you see, please feel free to leave a comment! And if you’d like to purchase any of the items I used for this card, you can pick those up at my online store

Thanks for looking, and as always, happy stamping!
